When God delivered Israel from the bondage of the Egyptians and took them to the promised land, He not only told them to teach their children in the fear of God and to obey the commands of God, but warned them not to return to the ways of Egypt. Today, in America the church has spurned God’s warnings to reject the gods around us. Instead of remembering Egypt with disdain, the church has crawled back into Egypt and become ensnared once again in the ugliness of the bondage of Egypt.
