This week on Stand in the Gap, Sam Rohrer and Isaac Crocket look at the idea of “putting things away”. Scripture talks in many places about “putting away” certain practices in our lives as in James 1:21 where it says, “put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness’. Yet in other places, it says to ‘put on’ as in Isaiah 52:1 where the Lord instructs, “awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion.” What is the purpose for putting on or putting off things in the spiritual sense? What should we put off or on, and why? Why is it important to God and why should thinking in these terms be important for us in our Christian life? (original airdate 9-18-22)
