When it comes to Israel, the Middle East and Biblical prophecy, there is no nation with a longer and deeper involvement with the Jews than that of Egypt. For 400 years God permitted Israel- the sons of Jacob- to multiply into a great nation and for 400 years the Jews were in bondage till the day God delivered them, nearly 1500 years ago, when the death angel executed the tenth plague under direct orders from God himself. According to Bible prophecy, Egypt as a nation would continue to fear Israel and plot to bring them back under their control. Peace pacts would exist, be broken and war ensue.
